AZTEC SHOWCASES OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL SCIENCE STUDENTS

Aztec Oils were delighted to recently welcome 6th form chemistry students from Outwood Academy Newbold on a visit to our plant on November 25th.

This was our third school visit and we welcome the opportunity to partner with local education establishments to bridge the gap between learning and work place environments.

During the visit the students were treated to a tour of our manufacturing facility with particular emphasis on our laboratory, where we carry out extensive quality control procedures
as well as Research and Development into new products.
 
As a rapidly growing company Aztec recognise the need to encourage youngsters to consider a career in manufacturing and the great opportunities there are for well-paid long-term employment and career development.

Following the visit Outwood Academies Kirsty said: "On behalf of myself and the students i would just like to say we really enjoyed the visit. Thank you for organising it.
It was great to see a real life application of things that the students are taught. It was also great to hear the managing directors’ views on using a finite resource and on the metal and plastic that they use for their packaging.
To take students to a place locally was a real benefit for us. It showed them that it's not just big cities that could necessarily have employment opportunities in science for them."
